Lock Casino is a Real Time Gaming casino that is currently running a demo of their new casino interface. I’ve worked in the technology field for years, so I can’t resist a challenge to tear someone’s interface to shreds. Give me a new design and let the fun begin!
And I was surprised to find that I was really having fun and not by ripping Lock to shreds. I love the overall look of the casino. Let’s start with the color scheme which is a clean and minimalistic black and silver. It gives the casino a very adult and sophisticated feel.
The interface is smooth and works very well. I did run into a couple of error messages when trying the demo version of the site, but those aren’t unexpected in a beta version and they didn’t stop me from giving the site a good run through. I’m sure they’ll be worked out before the redesign goes live.
A couple of negative things because nothing is perfect. I found the calendar on the main page a little confusing at first. It is a great concept because it runs down the offers and promotions offered each day, so it isn’t telling you what day it is. Which I think is just our automatic instinct when we see a calendar date. Also, the site really could use a control to adjust or to turn off sound. If there was one, I couldn’t find it.
But back to the good stuff. The promo screen gives a nice preview of promos with a visual and graphic interface. Click on a bonus icon and information on the bonus pops right onto the screen. They offer everyday delights as well as time limited promotions.
Free play really is free and available without registering , providing an email or any other information to the casino. For those who are truly hesitant about the online casino experience, this can be a reassuring way to experience the games. Or if you just want to drop in and play slots, video poker or another game for a little fun, you aren’t committed to a membership at the casino.
